Browned Butter Quick Bread

Ingredients

  • 2.5 c flour (395 g)
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 c sugar (225g)
  • 1/2 c milk (122g)
  • 1/2 c yogurt (122g)
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c butter

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. While the oven is preheating, combine dry ingredients in a bowl.
  3. On medium heat, heat the butter in a frying pan until the butter begins to brown (about 5 -7 minutes)
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the butter and combine with the wet ingredients.
  5. Mix the dry and wet ingredients together until just combined.
  6. Pour into a greased loaf pan and bake for about 55 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a couple minutes before removing from the pan and allowing to fully cool on a cooling rack.
  8. Slice and serve or wrap and freeze for later.
